On October 29, 2015, Fort Lauderdale attorney Jonathan Pollard was honored for his pro bono contributions by the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Pollard was one of less than 200 lawyers in the entire Southern District of Florida who was recognized for volunteering to handle a pro bono case in front of the court during the previous year. Pollard also was one of less than 50 lawyers who handled a civil, non-bankruptcy matter on a pro bono basis this year.
