Pollard PLLC served as a major sponsor of Legal Aid’s 8th Annual Bridge to Justice Breakfast. Other top level sponsors included Goya, Florida Power & Light, Buchanan Ingersol, and Valley National Bank.
The event was held at the Renaissance Hotel, 1617 SE 17th Street, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In attendance were past and present Florida Bar presidents, a former Florida Attorney General, numerous judges, hundreds of attorneys and many community leaders.
The keynote speaker was Susan Eisenhower. Susan Eisenhower is CEO and Chairman of the Eisenhower Group, Inc., Chairman Emeritus of The Eisenhower Institute, author, lecturer and international security expert. She is also the Granddaughter of President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Ms. Eisenhower gave an incredibly genuine, personal and moving account of memories of her grandfather and his commitment to leadership and public service.
The annual Bridge to Justice Breakfast serves to increase awareness and raise critical funds for Legal Aid programs in Broward. The event specifically highlighted the vital work that these organizations do to assist veterans and their families in partnership with Mission United.
Pollard PLLC has a long-standing commitment to community outreach and community service. In 2017, the Firm provided more than $300,000 worth of free legal legal services to low and moderate income clients. The Firm’s founding attorney Jonathan Pollard has been honored for his volunteer efforts by the City of Lauderdale Lakes, which named a day in his honor, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
