Fort Lauderdale attorney Jonathan Pollard, the principal of Pollard PLLC, has been selected to the 2016 Super Lawyers Rising Stars list. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected as Rising Stars based on peer reviews and independent research.
Pollard focuses his practice on competition law and has extensive experience litigating non-compete, trade secret and antitrust matters.
Pollard’s selection is particularly noteworthy in that he is one of a relatively small number of attorneys on the Rising Stars list who has his own firm. Pollard began his career at the prominent litigation firm Boies, Schiller & Flexner. In 2012, he left the firm to launch his own practice. Pollard PLLC presently has three lawyers in their Fort Lauderdale office and plans to launch a Washington, D.C. office in June.
Some of the firm’s most recent victories include successfully defending a trade secret case in the Middle District of Florida and recovering prevailing party attorneys fees and winning an appeal of a preliminary injunction in Florida’s 5th DCA in a non-compete case that received state and national media attention.
